With Sex is Medicine we can sense the intention to melt celebral disco tunes with a groovy feeling, a warm touch and true emotion. It is no surprise that this new project suggests a modern approach, driven by a “musicality” of ist own: the drums have given way to percussions for a doze of latin fever; the harmony is enhanced with melodic saxophone tunes; synths and dj beats dance around and the vibe hooks up, splintering into a powerful mix of electrofunk. The lyrics remain simple but erotic: the goal is, like in the best Talking Heads tradition, to support the music, not the other way around. The main concept behind the lyrics is to emphasize on sexuality in the read-between-the-lines way, as in the black American Funk music of the seventies. So here we go with a lot of emotion and bizarre, music that seemed to have been recorded in the early morning hours following a night of booze, sensation and no strings attached… Are you ready for Sex, Funk and Electrobizarre by LA SUITE BIZARRE?
